Day 5: Your Pet. Details.

This is my pup, Happy. She’s a red nosed beagle, and loves to swim. She likes to sunbathe as well, as you can tell in the photo on the left. My family got her when I was in kindergarten, back in 1995. I named her Happy because she is always so very happy and hyper. This girl right here was one of my best friends. Never was she ever mad at anyone, and always put me in a better mood when no one else could. This photo on the right is one of her last baths. Unfortunately, she passed away in December of 2010. It really makes me sad just thinking about it, but this broad right here lived a long, healthy 15.5 years, which is really good, for her breed. I’ll never forget all the times I had with this pup. She was rather short for a beagle, and in Chicago, we have some pretty brutal winter storms, though this year we have yet to have snow! :( But, I remember one year, it was horrible. The snow was probably 2.5 feet high, and she is barely like, 2ft tall. She literally would have to leap in the air to get around outside. My sister and I would make piles of snow, pick her up and drop her in them, because she would fall all the way to the grass, and have to jump extra high to get out of it, haha. It was especially funny when she would get excited and run. It was just like, pixie dust in the air. She was so fast, we could almost never find her.
Ah, I miss this girl so much. I’ll never have another dog as great as her. Rip, baby girl.
